Walk the Plank for Smoky BBQ Flavor

grilled salmon on a cedar plank
Grill with wood planks to add a smoky
flavor to fish, chicken or other grilled foods.

If you're looking for a new grilling idea, walk the plank!

Cedar plank grilling infuses food with a delicious smoky flavor.

The beauty of this method is it requires little supervision, so you can spend less time at the barbecue and more time with family and friends. Plank-grilled foods are a refreshing change of pace from typical barbecue fare.

The result is moist, flavorful and it's so easy to do!

A few plank basics from the Kraft Kitchens

• Buy untreated cedar planks at your local grocery, specialty food or hardware store. It should measure about 14x7x1 in.

• Be sure to purchase untreated planks to avoid chemical contamination of food.
