Ideas for the Man in Your Life
While
we all know that men really love getting ties they would never
buy for themselves, lots of socks, underwear and endless bottles
of after-shave and cologne, it might be nice to have something
different to give this Father's Day.
While
your favorite male may really appreciate getting a tool for do-it-yourself
jobs, unless they really like doing the chores on the "honey-do"
list, it really is the same as if he bought you a new mop or washing
machine. Nice, but...
If
your honey has a hobby, you're all set. Fishermen
can never get enough gear. Books on how to tie flies are actually
exciting to them and a new rod and reel will send them into songs
of praise at your thoughtfulness. Model
train buffs get as happy as three year olds when they get
a set of miniature houses or a car to add to the collection.
What
ever the hobby is, there is a gift that will be just what they
always wanted.
What
do you do if your better half is a couch potato whose idea of
a hobby is running the remote? Well, there is always a big
screen TV, but if that's not in your Father's Day gift giving
budget, there are still some gifts that will get his attention.
TV
related gifts could be videos or DVDs of his favorite movies or
sports events. Sure winners for smiling faces on Father's Day
are the Godfather trilogy or any of the Indiana Jones movies.
Special collections of world series games or football bowl games
go over well.
If
he's a music lover, a collection of his favorite songs can be
recorded on a CD or tape, depending on how technically gifted
you are. If even a tape is beyond your skills, there's always
your friendly neighborhood music shop.
So
be creative and make this year's Father's Day gift something special.
Have fun thinking of different ideas. Remember it's the thought
that counts. If you think it's a chore to have to get a gift for
him... that will come through. If you enjoy the gifting, he will
enjoy the gift.
