A Father's Day Gift For The "Car Guy"
One
of the most popular searches online this time of year is for Father's
day gift ideas that are affordable, but still special enough for
the men that are being honored.
Anyone who has ever shopped for a Father's Day gift knows that some people are just easier to come up with gifts for than others.
Mother's Day and mom's
birthday
can usually be covered with a gift certificate to the spa and flowers, but what do
you get dad on his special day?
The best way to show a guy how much you care is by picking up a Father's Day gift
that will appeal to his interests.
If he's into
home improvement,
a new drill or saw would be appreciated. If he enjoys cooking,
a new set of pots and pans would impress him.
For the guy
who is really into his car,
how about a gift basket or bucket filled with "goodies" that will
keep his car, garage and driveway looking great.
Perhaps the most important thing you can put in that bucket is a bottle
of 5 Star Shine, a patented two-step polish that uses PTFE (the same
substance that makes nonstick cookware so slippery) to bond with the
molecules in your paint for unbeatable shine and protection.
"The great thing about 5 Star Shine is unlike wax, which has to be
reapplied every couple of weeks, the shine from this polish is long
lasting," says Glenn Canady, president of 5 Star Technologies.
You
may also want to include shop towels, rubber gloves and a selection of
cleaners perfect for the season we're in.
Now that winter is over, there's an excess of general dirt and
grime everywhere, so a great addition to the bucket would be a
collection of Forever Black cleaning products for tires,
bumpers, bed liners, etc. They are made with specially formulated
dyes instead of silicone to bring back the life to a car's plastic,
rubber and vinyl parts.
That takes care of the car's body. The only things left to
clean
-- on the outside anyway -- are the windows. Those generic
window
cleaners you can buy at the grocery store may clear the grime away
temporarily, but if you want a cleaner that will remove stubborn
deposits and keep them from coming back, the Diamondite system, a
silicone-free, three-step process may be the perfect addition to that Father's day bucket of goodies..
Diamondite Spray Clay is
used to clear
unwanted deposits from the glass surface. Diamondite Shield then seals
the surface to offer future protection against acid rain spots,
scratches, abrasions and chipping. If your guy spends a lot of time working on his car, and often
leaves oil stains on the driveway or in the garage, you may want to
include a bottle of Pour-N-Restore
Oil Stain Removal.
