Green Apple Festival
Celebrating,
promoting and helping to raise awareness of Earth
Day the Green Apple Festival is a full weekend of free
music concerts and earth-friendly activities.
With no
reports of a Green Apple Festival forthcoming
in March 2010 it is assumed that, perhaps due to financial
reasons, the festival will not be staged this year.
First
known as
the Green Apple Music & Arts Festival when it first debuted
in 2006 in New York City, the festival later grew to include
dozens of live music performances by top pop & country
stars appearing in New York's Central Park, Chicago's Lincoln
Park Zoo and San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.
Continuing
its partnership with Earth
Day Network, the Green Apple Festival list continued to
grow to include the Washington DC Mall, Bicentennial Park
in Miami, the Santa Monica Pier in LA, City Park in Denver
and Fair Park in Dallas.
This year's
events were to focus on going
green and environmental volunteerism during the nation's
largest party in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Earth
Day in 2010. However, watch for a revival of the Green Apple
Festival with any further developments posted here.
Meanwhile,
