• Love holiday lights? In Stanwood, WA The Lights of Christmas holds the record for the largest Christmas lights display in the Northwest boasting more than a million lights spread across 15 acres.
• In Yakima Valley, one of the Northwest's more unusual holiday celebrations is the Lighted Farm Implement Parade featuring more than 50 tractors, farm implements and other vehicles covered with festive lights parading down Sunnyside's main street on the first Saturday in December.
• According to the Guinness world records, the tallest Christmas tree ever cut was Douglas fir that stood 221 feet tall (about 20 stories high) that was displayed in 1950 at the Northgate Shopping Center in Seattle.
