MAIN Basketball College Basketball Davidson Wildcats

Davidson is a small southern college well know for the academic honors of its students.

So it often surprises those who are not familiar with the school's history that behind the ivy walls hides a basketball team that boasts winning seasons and March Madness invitations.

The Wildcats last played in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in 2008, making it to the Elite 8. That year, they also very nearly made it to the Final Four, but lost to the eventual champion Kansas Jayhawks 59-57.

Davidson plays NCAA Division I basketball in the Southern Conference and are currently coached by Bob McKillop.
