MAIN Basketball College Basketball Florida Gators

Billy Donovan, one of the highest paid coaches in college basketball, and has recently brought the Gators to the NCAA tournament. As a 10th-seed, the Gators were ousted in the first round by the 7th-seed BYU Cougars in a double-overtime thriller.

The Gators have won two national championships — the 2006 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament and the 2007 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament back-to-back, and the first team to ever do it with the same starting line-up.

The Gators play in the Southeastern Conference.

The past Gators teams have moved 24 players into the NBA throughout the years, and the current team features athletes who have the potential of adding their names to that list.
