Head
coach Josh Pastner and the University of Memphis Tigers play Division
I basketball in the C-USA Conference.
Since
1920, the Tigers have been regular season champions 6 times, and entered the final four three times.
In the 2006 NCAA Tournament, they
received a number 1 seed and in the 2007 NCAA Tournament a number
2 seed.
Still stinging from a 2009 scandal in which the NCAA formally accused former Tiger star Derrick Rose of knowingly allowing another person to take his SAT college entrance exam, the Memphis Tigers are once again on the upswing and hoping to move forward under coach Josh Pastner's leadership.
