MAIN Basketball College Basketball U Conn Huskies

Head coach Jim Calhoun and the UConn Huskies reached the top of the college basketball world in 1999 and 2004 by winning the national championship in the NCAA Tournaments.

Add to that an NIT Championship, 15 BIG EAST Conference titles and it is easy to see why the huskies generate plenty of enthusiasm in their fans...

The Huskies play Division I basketball in the Big East Conference. U Conn has never lost a NCAA First Round game. The Huskies hold an impressive 23-3 record in NCAA First and Second Round competition since 1990. The team has advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 ten times in the past 16 years. They have six Elite Eight appearances, two NCAA Final Four trips and two National Championships.

Ranked number one in their region in 2006, they advanced to the Final 4 for a third time.
