MAIN Basketball College Basketball Villanova Wildcats

In the 1985 NCAA tournament the Villanova Wildcat team defeated Patrick Ewing and the defending champion, Georgetown, in the championship game. Villanova holds the record of being the lowest seed (#8) to win the NCAA championship. In 2006 they entered the tournament seeded # 1.

So far, the Villanova Wildcats have appeared in the NCAA Tournament 30 times, the 8th highest total in NCAA history.  .

Michael Bradley, Chris Ford, Kerry Kittles, Bill Melchionni, and Alvin Williams all played for Nova before going pro.

Villanova plays NCAA Division I basketball in the Big East Conference.
