MAIN Basketball College Basketball Wisconsin Badgers

Head coach Bo Ryan and the Wisconsin Badgers play Division I basketball in the Big 10 Conference. Not only did they play this year but they ended the season as regular season champs!

The Badgers have been regular season champions 17 times but tournament champs only twice. The Badgers made it through to the final four twice, in 1941 and 2000. 1941 was also the one and only year the victory was theirs for the NCAA. There was a barren period from 1947 through 2002, with no championship titles in those years.

In 2008 they were first in the Big 10 Conference and were seeded #3 in the NCAA tournament where they made it as far as the Sweet 16 before being upset.

They will have to wait for next year for another chance at bringing home another NCAA title.
