Head coach Sean Miller and the Xavier University Musketeers play Division I basketball in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

The Musketeers have been regular season champions 14 times, tournament champions 10 times, and advanced to the elite eight once.

Their biggest rivals are the Cincinnati Bearcats. They both play in the Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout every year. The Bearcats have won 47 times while the Musketeers have only won 27.
