Florida State Seminoles logoWith their home field at the Doak Campbell Stadium at Florida State University in Tallahassee, - and led by legendary coach Bobby Bowden - the Seminoles have for years remained one of the top football teams in the NCAA.

Finishing in the top five of the AP Poll for 14 straight years (from 1987 to 2000, when quarterback Chris Weinke won the Heisman Trophy) the Seminoles put Florida college football on the map with stellar performances including five national championship games between 1993 and 2001.

Now retirted after 34 years as Florida State's head coach, Bobby Bowden claimed more wins than any other in NCAA Division I-A history and was tied with Penn State's Joe Paterno as the NCAA Division I (BCS) leader with 373 career wins.

Bowden's right hand man, Jimbo Fisher, was named the Seminoles head coach for the 2010 season and lead the team to nine wins and a matchup with SEC East champion South Carolina in the Chick-fil-A Bowl with a 26-17 victory for the Seminoles. Fisher will hopefully continue to lead the team to even greater college football glory during the 2011-2012 season.

Besides producing top college football talent, Florida State has also provided the NFL with star performers including the likes of Deion Sanders, Terrell Buckley, Derrick Brooksi, Walter Jones, Corey Simon, Javon Walker, Warrick Dunn, Brad Johnson and Samari Rolle.
