In the news most recently for taking the BCS Championship game in 2008 against the Ohio State Buckeyes, LSU enters the 2009-2010 season as the team to beat as one of the winningest teams in NCAA college football history.

Besides being led by an outspoken head coach Les Miles (who has made sports headlines for his own performance on and off the field) LSU is blessed with perhaps the most ferocious fans in college football, known for their extra-audible cheers (and boos against opposing teams) that regularly rock the neighborhood around Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge throughout the season.
