MAIN Football College Football Ohio State Buckeyes

Despite the recent Buckeye debacle, that led to the quick "retirement" of popular head coach Jim Tressel, the Buckeyes remain one of the top college football teams around, and in their 119-year history have reached the national championship title 7 times.

This year, fallout from the 2010 money-for-memorabilia scandal has resulted in suspensions for four offensive starters for five games this season. Now with quarterback Terrelle Pryor snatched up by the the Oakland Raiders in the NFL supplemental draft  — could the Buckeyes be any more in disarray going into the 2011 season?

Then again, it's never wise to discount the Buckeyes. Usually a breeding ground for champions, Ohio State claims a record 14 players who made the NFL draft in 2004. Other Buckeyes who have gone on to NFL superstardom include Pro Football Hall of Famers Lou Groza, Dante Lavelli, Jim Parker, Paul Warfield, and Bill Willis.

Watch this season for a traditional battle with Michigan and Big Ten arch rivals Indiana and Illinois as the Buckeyes try to battle back from a scandal-ridden 2010 season lead by new coach Luke Fickell.
