MAIN Football College Football Purdue

Major players in NCAA Division I-A, the Purdue Boilermakers football team are eight-time winners of the Big Ten Conference and have appeared in a total of 15 bowl games, the latest in 2007 when they defeated Central Michigan to win the Motor City Bowl 51-48.

With its home field at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana the team has been led since 1997 by head coach Joe Tiller who retired after the 2008 season. Leading the team in 2009 is former associate coach and new Head Coach Danny Hope.

Known as a testing ground for NFL quarterbacks, Purdue has produced a number of Super Bowl stars including Bob Griese and Len Dawson, as well as New Orleans Saints' Drew Brees.
