MAIN Football College Football UConn Huskies

Usually behind their highly successful UConn Huskie basketball counterparts in terms of fame and glory, the UConn football team jumped to the big leagues as an independent in 2000 and eventually joined the Big East Conference in 2004.

Currently led by head coach Randy Edsall, UConn football has won a total of 16 conference championships, and in 2007 enjoyed their best year yet finishing 9-3, while earning a spot against Wake Forest at the Meineke Car Care Bowl where they were ultimately defeated 24-10.
