remains a favorite on

In college, you work hard - so you want to play hard! The good news is that planning a college party is simplicity itself.

All you need are the following:

1. Costumes - no matter how skimpy or fancy, it isn't a college party without the dress up! Costumes are not only a major part of the fun, but a great excuse for showing off hysterically funny and/or compromising photos after the party..

2. Food and drink - with the obvious emphasis on drink. Get creative by mixing it up with a variety of drinking games such as jello shot contests or beer pong. Just remember to never ever drink and drive. Also have designated drivers on hand to get everyone home safe.

You'll thank yourself in the morning, party animals!

Easy college party themes

For a fun, memorable college party first you have to pick a theme.

The classic toga party theme has been going on for decades and still remains a favorite - along with the similarly themed ABC party (a.k.a., Anything But Clothes) that will give your guests a bit more latitude in choosing attire.

A pajama party is another great idea that's fun and relaxing. Lingerie is not off limits, of course, and the wackier the pajamas, the better. Set out the milk (or the piña coladas) and cookies and you're ready to party.

Too cold for a Hawaiian luau party? Have it indoors with a tiki bar, poo poo platter, leis and hula dancing. This idea also doubles as a great indoor beach party theme. Just don't forget to set the attire. Grass skirts or bathing suits required.

For the ultimate in easy dress-up party planning, you also can't go wrong with a decades party. Whether it's the 50's 60's, 70's, or 80's, the complete party supply package is all right there to dictate the costumes, food and decorations, as well as the music you'll be playing that night.

Tired of of all the whoop de-doo? Show your sophistication with a wine tasting party. Make it fun by picking a region - from Baja to Bordeaux - and decorate your wine tasting room accordingly.

Have fun!
