What is fashion?

In short, it's the clothes we wear. It's also the way we style our hair. It often dictates what makeup, jewelry, perfume or cologne we buy — right down to the shoes we put on in the morning.

At work, it can be tell others how seriously we want to be taken at the office, and in social situations fashion can be used as a status symbol telegraphing our worth. Fashion is not so much who we are, but an important part of what we want to show our "public."
