When is Friendship Day?

This year, World Friendship Day is celebrated on Sunday, August 2, 2009.

Friendship Day remains a tradition observed in many countries and cultures around the world. It is a time to celebrate our friends by recognizing that - to have a good friend we must be a good friend - with tokens of affection or just warm and simple declarations of how important friends are to us, in good times and bad.
