Red Nose Day 2009
Get
into giving - on Red Nose Day in the UK.
Celebrated
every other year, the next Red Nose Day is next observed on
Friday, March 13, 2009.
The seriously
silly tradition began in 1985 when UK comedians created Comic
Relief to use comedy and laughter to alert the public
to poverty in the UK and in Africa.
Since
then, millions of pounds have been raised by schools, companies
and just plain upstanding individuals who welcome the opportunity
to help the world's needy and vulnerable.
You can,
too, by visiting trusted and respected charitable
organizations who work to help fight poverty and disease
year round.
