St
Patrick's Day is not the only time to visit an Irish pub,
but it may be the most popular way to end a day watching or
marching in the parade.
Pubs are
great places to relax anytime of the year - anywhere - with
authentic Irish pubs found in cities as diverse as Boston
to Genoa, Italy!
In Ireland,
a 'public house' serves alcohol, but that's only one of the
activities that go on. Gathering at the pub is a top idea
for a way to spend time with friends, tell stories, or play a hearty round of darts. Many Irish bars serve
pub grub and you'll find most are family friendly with a warm
welcome to kids who sit at tables with their family... no
minors at the bar, please!
In big
cities worldwide you'll find Irish pubs that offer readings
of traditional and contemporary Irish literature, poetry and
plenty of music - scheduled or, if you're lucky, informal
sessions by local musicians who just happen to feel like playing
a song or two.
There is no such thing as a stranger when you
share a love of having a good time. The people are friendly,
the food is hearty and the beer flows freely - a recipe for
a fun evening anywhere you roam.
