MAIN Your Money Taxes IRS Idaho Taxes
Idaho collects personal income tax in eight tax brackets, ranging from 1.6 percent to 7.8 percent, depending on filing status and income. Idaho income tax brackets are adjusted for inflation each year.
Idahoans are required to file income taxes using Idaho Individual Income Tax Return Form 40 by April 15. When that date falls on a weekend or holiday, filers get until the next business day to submit their state returns. NOTE: In 2012, the traditional filing deadline of April 15 falls on a Sunday, and Emancipation Day - a holiday observed in the District of Columbia - falls on Monday. Therefore, the deadline this year for filing taxes is April 17, 2012 giving everyone two extra days to file their taxes.
