Oregon Taxes
Oregon imposes state taxes in five tax rates ranging from 5 percent to 11 percent depending on income and filing status. Oregon residents are required to file taxes using Form 40 each year by April 15. When that date falls on a weekend or holiday, filers get until the next business day to submit their state returns.
NOTE: In 2012, the traditional filing deadline of April 15 falls on a Sunday, and Emancipation Day - a holiday observed in the District of Columbia - falls on Monday. Therefore, the deadline this year for filing taxes is April 17, 2012 giving everyone two extra days to file their taxes.
