MAIN Pop Culture Reality TV Amazing Race 15

The 15th season of Amazing Race premiered in a 2-hour special on Sunday, September 27, 2009 beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

The Emmy winning reality show features 12 teams competing in races spanning eight countries in 21 days.

Which ones will make you root for them to get eliminated, and which will break your heart when they come in last?

With a leg up on the competition this year is a duo made up of two Harlem Globetrotters, Nathaniel "The Big Easy" Lofton, 28, from New Orleans, and Herbert "Flight Time" Lang, 32, from Brinkley, Ark., who believe their experience will help them navigate this season's course.

Other teams to watch this season include:

• best friends Justin Kanew and Zev Glassenberg - who has Asperger's syndrome, a milder form of autism.
• married couple Brian Kleinschmidt and Ericka Dunlap, a former Miss America.
• professional poker players Maria Ho and Tiffany Michelle.
• Dan and Sam McMillen, two gay brothers from Liberty, Missouri who just recently came out to one another.

Hosted again by Phil Keoghan, the show follows this season's teams as they travel more than 40,000 miles in eight different countries.

With the race starting in Los Angeles, and the first stop in Tokyo, the latest buzz is that it will continue across Asia to Estonia with a stop in Stockholm, Sweden and various other locations before crossing the finish line in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Week 8 - who got eliminated? The race moves from Stockholm to Estonia where teams compete in medieval mystery, hunting for clues through the old town and then onto a muddy game of volleyball.

Meanwhile, father and son team, Gary and Matt, who were already delayed by a speed bump, are further delayed when Matt has no idea what the 'can-DEL-a-BRA' clue means (you know, the thing with candles?) Poor Matt, he tried. Say goodbye to Gary, too.
