On ABC's The Bachelor, doe-eyed bachelorettes all gather, hoping to walk out the winners in the candlelit rose ceremony. Each week, contestants are either gifted with a rose, or sent packing - their egos shattered - and their hopes of meeting Mr. Rightnow dashed on the shores of disillusion.

Each season, you knew there will be at least one hot tub scene, several makeout sessions, and the inevitable meeting with the parents when the clock ticks down. As The Bachelor narrows down the field, we swoon through the flirtation, romance and tears.

This season marks the first time that the all-American Bachelor series has a non-American star — a 27-year old, blue-eyed 6'5" British bachelor, Matt Grant, a global financier from London.
