Guests Still In The House

Big Brother 8 premiered on July 5th with some new twists to add even more action to the house guests stressed out deal.

The theme for the Brother house in Season 8 is Alice in Wonderland. Remember that Alice got bigger and smaller when she ate... whatever... The chairs will be tiny and the beds will be bigger. Some reviewers are changing the name to Malice in Wonderland...

This season the guests are younger - only three thirty or older - and everyone expects that to bring on... well, lock a bunch of hot twenty somethings together in a house for a few weeks and figure out for yourself where that will lead. Maybe it's a good thing that the beds will be super-sized...

The house will be rocking and we're not talking bedtime activities now. To make sure that the house guests nerves get properly fried, a few pairs of contestants knew each other before they got to the house. More than just knew each other - they were what you would call... um... enemies? They arrived expecting to meet a house full of strangers and one of the players turned out to be someone they've had big problems with in real life.

Should be entertaining... in the deranged sort of way that we've come to know and love from past seasons of Big Brother.

In case that's not enough to cause problems with everyone getting along, there is a puppet player thrown into the mix. One house guest is America's Player. That means one contestant is taking orders from the audience. By texting or going to the Big Brother site, you can think up interesting twists and maybe get America's Player to act on your suggestions.

Some things that have come up are getting America's Player to vote someone out of the house - or maybe instigate a bit of romance with another guest? The motivation for America's Player to go along with the audience suggestions is, you guessed it... extra money,

It is true that the players who usually win Big Brother are the ones who kno how to get along with the rest of the house, this is not a popularity contest. It is a competition reality game for a lot of money. The contestants who do the best are the guys and gals who can out play the rest of the house guests - and get away with breaking pacts and promises along the way.

If you are unfamiliar with this reality show, think Survivor meets The Real World.

Fourteen strangers are put into a house where they may not leave, or have any contact with the outside world, and must outlast everyone for the $500,000 prize.

Things, as you could imagine, get a little raw. Personalities clash, alliances are made, relationships are explored and feelings get hurt. The amount of plotting in this reality show rivals a professional chess game.

Who will get evicted, which players will get called a slut this time... and who will be crafty enough to walk away with the $500,000 Big Brother top prize?
