Bursting on the national country music scene with their monster hit, "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" in 2004, the duo Big & Rich is Big Kenny Alphin, former lead singer for luvjOi, and partner John Rich, former band member of Lonestar.

Big & Rich have either accidently, or by design, have since become most noted for turning the country music scene on its ear by branching out into other genres, teaming with such artists as John Legend and rapper Lil Jon in a country-rock-hip-hop fusion that has raised eyebrows among traditional country music fans.

Formed in 1998, Big Kenny and John Rich were early co-founders of the MusikMafia that attracted a mix of singers & muscians to laid-back jam sessions at "Pub of Love" in Nashville.

"Save a Horse" as well as their debut single "Wild West Show" were spun off their debut album, Horse of a Different Color, released in 2004. Their second album, Comin' to Your City, was released in 2005 with the cover single resulting in another huge hit.

Their last album, Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace, resulted in their first No. 1 single, the wedding ballad "Lost in This Moment" which also enjoyed major cross-over appeal on adult contemporary radio.
