Recognizing the most popular Latin music on the charts, the Billboard Latin
Music Awards features top solo performers & Latin groups who compete for top honors in such categories as pop, rock, tropical, Mexican
regional music, and Reggaeton.
Due to last year's COVID outbreak, the Billboard Latin Music Awards post show was postponed to September, so this year the televised date remains up in the air until an official announcement is made.

2021
Billboard Latin Music Awards rewind
The 23rd editon of the Billboard Latin Music Awards was televised on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 7PM ET on its traditional TV home, Telemundo, live from the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, FL.
Announced in August, Bad Bunny led the pack of 2021 BillBoard Latin Music Award nominees (also see WINNERS, below) with 22 nods in 13 categories, including artist of the year, songwriter of the year, Hot Latin Songs artist of the year, top Latin rhythm album and top Latin album of the year.
Following Bad Bunny was Maluma with 11 nods, J Balvin with nine nods, along with Karol G, Anuel AA and Black Eyed Peas with eight each.
Bad Bunny led the pack this year with a total of 22 nominations in 13 categories.
On tap to host the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards was Pedro Fernández, Maite Perroni, William Levy and Gaby Espino.
Live entertainment on the big night included performances by chart-topping artists such as Camila Cabello, Joss Favela, Ana Bárbara, Carlos Rivera, eight-time finalist Karol G, Banda MS, who's up for awards in four categories, among many others.

Joining the performance lineup was Juanes, Marc Anthony, Carlos Vives, Christian Nodal, Guadalupe Pineda, Jhay Cortez, Lucy Vives, Maná, Mau y Ricky, Myke Towers, Natti Natasha, Nicky Jam, Paquita la del Barrio, Rawl Alejandro, Prince Royce, Reik, and Yuri.
An all-star list of presenters also included Black Eyed Peas, Carolina Miranda, Chiquis, Cristian de la Fuente, El Fatasma, J. Rey Soul, Los Dos Carnales, Sofia Reyes, Mariana Seoane, Tainy, and WWE superstar Damian Priest.

• The Billboard Latin Music Awards began in 1994 honoring the most popular albums, songs, and performers in Latin music.
• Growing out of the Billboard Music Awards, today the awards are the longest running and the most prestigious in the Latin music industry.
• In 1999, the ceremony was first broadcast on the television network Telemundo, where it became the network's highest-rated music special.
• Nominees are selected mainly from among top music performers in the United States, Latin America, and Spain. However artists from other countries are eligible, as well - as long they perform outstanding Latin music.
