Billboard Latin Music AwardsRecognizing the most popular Latin music on the charts, the Billboard Latin Music Awards features top solo performers & Latin groups vying for top honors in such categories as pop, rock, tropical, Mexican regional music, and Reggaeton.

In 2018, the Billboard Latin Music Awards celebrated its landmark 20th anniversary! To mark the occasion, this year's ceremony took place in Las Vegas, Nevada for the first time ever, and televised live on Thursday, April 26, 2018 beginning at 8PM ET on Telemundo.

Hosting the ceremony this year were Gaby Espino and Marco Antonio Regil.

J Balvin & Shakira
J Balvin and Shakira lead with 12 nods each.

Colombian stars J Balvin and Shakira led with 12 nominations each, followed by Fonsi, Yankee, Maluma and Ozuna with 10 nods. And, in the strongest sign yet of how Latin music has crossed over, three non-Latin acts included Justin Bieber with eight, Beyoncé with seven and Willy William with six nods.

And, if there was a "That's Awkward!" category, the 2018 songwriter of the year roster would surely qualify as it was completely dominated by “Despacito,” with every single nominee -- Daddy Yankee, Erika Ender, Luis Fonsi, Justin Bieber, Marty James Garton and Poo Bear -- a co-writer of the song.

On awards night, a star-studded list of performers included Cardi B, Ricky Martin, Karol G, Quavo, J Balvin, Maluma, Nicky Jam, Ozuna, CNCO, Chayanne, Sofia Reyes, Christian Nodal, Calibre 50. Also performing on the big night was Jennifer Lopez along with Victor Manuelle, Natti Natasha, David Bisbal, Sebastaian Yantra, Reik, Wisin, Yandel, Daddy Yankee, Farruko, Bad Bunny, and Becky G. In addition, Mexican rock legends Mana also joined the list as this year's recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Presenters at the 2018 Latin Billboards included Erika Ender, Banda MS singers Oswaldo Silva & Alan Ramirez, Reykon, Yuridia, Diego Boneta, Leila Cobo, Gianluca Vacchi, Fernanda Castillo, Raul Mendez, Carmen Villalobos, Catherine Siachoque, Aylin Mujica, Dr. Ana Maria Polo, Candela Ferro, Ana Jurka, Karim Mendiburu, and Eugenio Derbez.
