David Boreanaz plays Seely Booth, a Special Agent of the FBI's Homicide Investigation Unit.

Emily Deschanel plays Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan, a forensics anthropoligist with an uncanny knack for finding and deciphering clues in the victim's bones. She also writes stories whose main character is Kathy Reichs.

Kathy Reichs, meanwhile, in real life is a forensic anthropologist for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in North Carolina and a novelist. The main character in her novels is Temperance Brennan. Art imitating art? Mmmm...

Created by Hart Hanson, Bones is making an impression on it's viewers. It is a different mix of crime drama with sexual tension & relationship issues reminiscent of the 80's comedy detective hit Moonlighting starring Bruce Willis and Cybil Shepherd.
