Easily crossing between the borders of pop, rock and country, Brad Paisley is a No. 1 hit-getter with his light touch and humorous lyrics that make him a popular favorite on U.S. radio stations nationwide.

Born on October 28, 1972 in Glen Dale, West Virginia, Brad Douglas Paisley was only eight when he learned guitar from his grandfather. By his early teens he was performing professionally at the Capital Music Hall in Wheeling, West Virginia.

He later attended college on a full scholarship provided by the music society ASCAP, and upon graduation signed with EMI Music as a songwriter. His debut album, "Who Needs Pictures" was released in 1999 and in December he had his first No. 1 hit with "He Didn't Have to Be".

A year later, Paisley became the recipient of CMA Horizon Award for best new artist as well honors from the ACM for Best New Male Vocalist.

Since then, Brad Paisley has become a staple of country music awards presentations with hits that often poke fun at fame, romance, and American pop culture such as "I'm Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin' Song)", "Celebrity" "Mud on the Tires", "Alcohol", "Cornography" and 'Ticks."

His first major tour in 2005 with Reba McEntire and Terri Clark, "Two Hats and a Redhead", was a sellout in any venue it played, followed by the release of his most award winning album to date, "Time Well Wasted" featuring such hits as "Alcohol" and the duet "When I Get Where I'm Going" with Dolly Parton.

Paisley's latest album, "5th Gear" was released in 2007 featuring No. 1 hits such as "Ticks" "Online", and "Letter to Me". In 2008 he completed his year-long "Bonfires & Amplifiers" tour and announced the kick-off of 'The Paisley Party" tour in June.

Offstage, Paisley is married to actress Kimberly Williams. The couple live in Franklin, Tennessee and have one son, William Huckleberry Paisley, born in 2007.
