Ohio-born Carmen Electra (Tara Leigh Patrick) first appeared on the showbiz radar with the help of rock star Prince who produced what was ultimately a failed album for the fledgling star.

Following a hot Playboy spread, Electra was back at work with a breakthrough career move as Jenny McCarthy's replacement as co-host of MTV's Singled Out in 1996, and with that show's cancellation went on to replace Pamela Anderson on the syndicated hit Baywatch a year later.

Electra was again back in the news with her days-long marriage to eccentric basketball star Dennis Rodman in 1998. During the ensuing years Electra kept her hand in the biz with minor movie roles, including a funny cameo in the hit parody Scary Movie in 2000.

Electra and husband Dave Navarro, who have now separated, starred in the MTV reality show Til Death Do Us Part, with a solo stint in 2005 by Carmen Electra hosting Bravo's Manhunt: The Search for America's Most Gorgeous Male Model.

Her last big screen role was playing trophy wife to Eugene Levy's character in Cheaper by the Dozen 2, released in 2006 and starring Steve Martin. Other recent appearances include cameos in Date Movie and Scary Movie 4 for which she won the dubious honor as Worst Actress at the 2007 Razzie Awards.

Offscreen, it was announced in July that Carmen Electra and husband Dave Navarro were divorcing after three years of marriage, followed months later by news that Electra and boyfriend, former Korn guitarist Rob Patterson, were engaged to be married.

It will be her third trip down the aisle and Patterson's first. No wedding date has yet been set.
