MAIN Pop Culture Reality TV Dancing With The Stars Season 10

There's a whole new round of winners, losers —and controversial eliminations — when Dancing with the Stars kicks off its 10th season with a 2-hour premier on March 22, 2010 on ABC at 8pm ET/PT.

The official announcement of the star lineup occurred on March 1, 2010 during the finale of The Bachelor.

Host Tom Bergeron, and former DWTS contestant and spurned Bachelorette, Melissa Rycroft, appeared during the latter half of the two-hour Bachelor finale to reveal 11 celebrities (down from 16 since last year) for the Season 10 cast.

Already confirmed was buxom actress, hot mess, and PETA spokesperson Pamela Anderson. Also creating cast lineup buzz was Kate Gosselin of Jon & Kate Plus 8 fame along with "a man who once walked on the moon" — with best bets on former US astronaut Buzz Aldrin. As it happened, all the rumors and spoilers turned out to be true!

And here they all are, the official DWTS lineup ready to shake things up when Dancing with the Stars Season 10 kicks off on March 22:

• Pamela Anderson, model & actress
• Chad Ochocinco, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver
• Aiden Turner, actor "All My Children"
• Erin Andrews, ESPN sportscaster
• Shannen Doherty, actress
• Buzz Aldren, former US astronaut
• Evan Lysacek, Olympic figure skater
• Kate Gosselin, mom & former reality show star Jon & Kate Plus 8
• Nicole Scherzinger, singer Pussycat Dolls
• Niecy Nash, ex-"Reno 911" star
• Jake Pavelka, The Bachelor

Meanwhile, definitely leaving this season is co-host Samantha Harris, who announced she will be concentrating on her appearances on CBS' The Insider and Entertainment Tonight.

While Melissa Rycroft is a strong replacement contender, also rumored to be auditioning for the post of co-host was former winner of DWTS Season 7, Brooke Burke,

In other news, four professional dancers were cut from the line-up due to this season's new 11-contestant format.

Reportedly NOT returning are Lacey Schwimmer, Jonathan Robrets, Dmitry Chaplin and veteran DWTS dancer Julianne Hough who will continue to pursue her dual career as a successful country music star.
