2010 Eurovision Song Contest
In
2010, the annual Eurovision Song Contest is being hosted by Norway,
following last year's win by popular favorite 'Fairytale"
sung by Alexander Ryback - which won as best song.
Watch for
semi-finals airing May 25 and May 27 2010, with the final on May
29, 2010 live from Oslo.
Notable
Winners
Shaking up
the Eurovision stage in 2006 was heavy metal Finnish band Lordi
- and its chain saw wielding lead singer - who were the surprise
winners with "Hard Rock Hallelujah".
Other Eurovision
winners of the past include ABBA
(Sweden) and Celine
Dion (Switzerland) who have used the contest as a solid launching
pad to international stardom.
