Strait continued to release more chartbuster albums such as The Road Less Traveled, Honkytonkville, Somewhere Down in Texas and It Just Comes Natural. His next album, Troubador, debuted in April 2008 at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.

In 2009, a major nationwide television appearance featured top country stars performing in tribute to the King of Country in "George Strait: ACM Artist of the Decade All-Star Concert” which aired on CBS.

Strait's next album, Here for a Good Time, was released on September 6, 2011, spinning off two No. 1 singles including the title track and "Love's Gonna Make It Alright".

The country's singer's latest album, Love is Everything, was released in 2013.
