Kristen Cavallari of Reality show Laguna Beach fame has landed in the fertile soil of UPN 9 on the soon to be a hit Get This Party Started. Has the freebie alarm sounded in your head too?

With a flair of Extreme Makeover : Home Edition, the premise of this show is to find someone worthy and either throw them a suprise party or help them throw a suprise party for someone who they would like to cheer up. All types of parties need apply - anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, etc.

These lucky chosen few will be pampered, gifted, and treated like a celebrity. Some even get to meet celebrities. Sounds great.

The cast consists of the aforementioned Kristen Cavallari of Laguna Beach fame and Ethan Erickson a newcomer sometime-correspondant for Extra. These two hosts have pearly white smiles and the look of the King and the Queen of the Prom. They, along with fellow do-gooders Lara Shrifman and Elizabeth Harrison, (publishers of the Fete Accompli! series of how-to books on throwing fantastic parties), will team up to make the deserving smile and be grateful.

Shows that give back to lucky individuals are begining to take over the air waves. A great trend in reality television these days if you ask me. They give away a car in the first episode! How Oprahesque.
