School's IN for the summer!

The mania that is High School Musical wouldn't be complete without a reality show to add to the fun.

This summer's hottest television smash hit premiered on July 20th. For the first three weeks the show will be on Sunday and Monday nights at 8 p.m. on ABC.

After that it will air on Monday nights at 8 p.m. through mid-September.

When all the auditions are completed, there will be 12 finalists that head to the HSM Campus (the real life Murray High School in Salt Lake City) to meet-up in the competition of their lives.

What challenges do these contestants need to overcome in order to win? How will their talent be honed to qualify for a shot at Disney fame? Watch as they are put to the test in more ways than one.

On the Road to High School Musical Stardom

With Nick Lachey hosting do you really need another reason to tune in? Also watch for special appearances by High School Musical star Zac Efron plus more surprises along the way.

What is at stake? The chance to record a song and star in a music video that will be shown during the end credits of the feature film, Disney's "High School Musical 3: Senior Year," opening this fall. Not to mention, an exclusive agreement with ABC and a contract to record two other singles with Walt Disney Records.
