Has it gotten under your skin yet?

Inked premiered on A&E July 20, 2005 introducing audiences to a behind-the-scenes look at a Las Vegas tattoo parlor, and quickly gained a wide audience.

Since then, the TV show has revealed a large population of Americans who are interested in getting 'inked" themselves.

One in ten of us, it seems, are already sporting tattoos - or are planning on getting one - as tattoos go mainstream. And just like the tattoos they wear, on Inked "every BODY has a story to tell."

Each week, we get to follow founder and freestyle motocross champ Carey Hart ( recently separated from wife, singer Pink ), and partner Thomas Pendleton make nice with a worldwide clientele. This while they manages a somtimes ditzy and temperamental staff of tattoo artists on staff at Hart & Huntington Tattoo Co. (H&H) - the first tattoo company opened in a casino (Palms).

In the first season, we were introduced to:

• Dizzle - the goofy apprentice who reports to Twig, and is charged with sweeping the floor and running errands. He's finally allowed to start training tattooing designs on grapefruit (since their texture most resembles porous human skin).

• Clark - the one-eyed master artist who doesn't let his disability interfere with his art. In fact, he believes his lack of three-dimensional perspective gives him a unique style. The facts bear this out as a large following want their tattoos done by him exclusively. Professional recognition came in 2004 when Tattoo Magazine named Clark one of the best tatoo artists in the country.

• Jesse - another pro tattoo artist whose interest was sparked when he received his first tattoo in his teens, and then began asking advice and training tips from every tattoo artist he met.

Each of them returns this season, along with "femme fatale" receptionist Jenn, and new tattoo artist Joey.
