With nowhere to go with his degree in biology, Duhamel decided to head to Los Angeles to persue an acting career. Working as a fashion model while auditioning, Duhamel traveled to Europe in 1999 to star in his first leading role The Picture of Dorian Gray. That same year, he also landed the role of Leo du Pres in the hit ABC soap, All My Children, later garnering a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor. Currently, Duhamel appears opposite James Caan in the television series Las Vegas and appeared on the silver screen in the title role of Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! in 2004 followed by a lead role in Turistas in 2006. His next big Hollywood foray will be playing Captain Lennox in the summer movie blockbuster, Transformers due for July 2007 release. Offscreen,
