MAIN Pop Culture Reality TV LA Ink

LA Ink is a spin off of Miami Ink, a tattoo shop on Miami's South Beach, and one of the hottest reality shows on TLC.

Kat Von D is an extremely talented artist who formerly starred on Miami Ink. After some trouble with Ami James, the co-owner of Miami Ink, Kat left the show and went back to LA. She is now the proud owner of "High Voltage Tattoo" and along with Corey Miller, Hannah Aitchison, Kim Saigh, and the shop manager, Amber "Pixie" Acia she shows the world the tattoo side of life every Tuesday at 10 pm ET.

Being located in Los Angeles, there are bound to be many celebrities that grace the shop with their presence. Jesse Metcalfe, Jenna Jameson, and Sebastian Bach are just a few from the first season.

Trivia note: The main musical theme for the show is "Dancing With Myself" by Nouvelle Vague.

Tats used to be only for bikers, truck drivers, or bad boys. Never mind girls. Never mind girls actually being the artist! As you can see on LA Ink, not only can girls give tattoos, Kat Von D shows that she is one to be reckoned with in the tattoo world!
