A gifted actress, Lindsay Lohan was born in New York City on July 2, 1986 and raised on Long Island, NY.
Lohan was already
a fresh-faced TV advertising star by age 3 and appeared in national commercials
for such name brands as Jello-O, Wendy's and Pizza
Hut. By age 10, the young actress was appearing in her first full-time
acting stint playing Ali Fowler in the NBC soap opera Another

her dating relationship with DJ Samantha
Ronson. Although denying she was a lesbian,when asked if she
is bisexual she responded, "Maybe." The relationship
with Ronson later ended in 2009.
In May 2010, Lohan did not appear for a scheduled DUI progress report hearing in the US claiming that she was stranded in France due to a stolen passport. At a later hearing on May 24, 2010 Lohan was ordered to attend weekly alcohol education classes, but at her July 6 probation revocation hearing, the judge determined that Lohan had violated the terms of her probation and sentenced her to 90 days in jail. She was released on August 2 after serving only 14 days.
Since that time, Lohan has been in and out of
rehabilitation clinics in her very public road to recovery as she continues to work in films and TV guest spots. In 2012, she did a successful guest host spot for Saturday Night Live, and later that same year starred in a made for TV movie as Hollywood film star Elizabeth Taylor in Liz & Dick to mostly scathingly bad reviews.
However, hope was on the horizon the following year as some critics praised her performance in The Canyons, which was released only days after yet another stint in rehab.
Most recently, Lindsay Lohan starred in her own reality series, Lindsay, on cable channel OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) which began airing in 2014.
