Deep down, everybody has a center of good.

In Earl's case it's way, deep down.

But that doesn't stop him from changing his karmic destiny by doing right by others. Or, at least trying.

Just as in real life, the funny part usually comes in the attempt.

My Name is Earl was the 2005-2006 season surprise hit as millions identified with the hapless Earl's journey, and the wrongs he tries to right. It would be an epic Greek tragedy — if it wasn't so damned funny.

Jason Lee stars as Earl, an everyman on the road to redemption with karmic help from dim-witted brother Randy, played to dopey perfection by Ethan Suplee - along with Catalina, a hottie with a heart of gold (Nadine Velazquez), and friend Darnell, played by Eddie Steeples.

The foil in all this "do-gooder" stuff is ex-wife Joy, played by Jamie Pressly, who is nobody's chump and refuses to help anybody without a payback ("Karma this, you dummy!").
