Hosted by Nate Berkus, "Oprah's Big Give" was a tender hearted reality tv show brought to us by ABC on Sunday night evenings at 9 pm.

Keep in mind this was a reality show, so there were some elements of competition that aren't all sunshine and roses.

So, what was the big hooplah about the big give?

Ten contestants were given challenges to complete in each episode. The three judges watched their every move and then eliminated the one who they felt needed to go.

As Oprah said, "Give big or go home!"

The biggest surprise of all was that not a single contestant was aware of the prize on the line. One million dollars went to the winner! What did they think they are playing for? The opportunity to become "The Biggest Giver" and the chance to help as many people as they can with someone else's money. An absolutely win win situation! Except for the elimination part. Someone had to go home every week.

The first season of "Oprah's Big Give" was its only season. It was not renewed for a second.
