MAIN Pop Culture Reality TV Project Runway

Every season we got to see a whole new group of high-fashion wannabe's competing for top prizes featuring $100,000 in seed money to launch the winner's own design line.

This season, say goodbye to Bravo ... and say hello to Lifetime as the hit series packs up its scissors and thread to take up residence at the "women's" cable channel for season 6.

This also marks the first time that Project Runway is set in LA (at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) instead of New York. The episodes have already been filmed and were originally set to air in January 2009. However, because of legal wrangling between Bravo and Lifetime, the all new Season 6 didn't officially air until August 2009.

Project Runway Season 6

Project Runway Season 6 premiered on August 20, 2009 at 10PM ET/PT, with rumors already buzzing about guest judges including pop divas Lindsay Lohan, Christina Aguilera and Eva Longoria.

As always, fans can look forward this season to the return of host and supermodel Heidi Klum being joined by Nina Garcia, Michael Kors, and Tim Gunn who will pick their way through a brand new crop of fashion hopefuls on their way to industry stardom.

Project Runway Season 6 Designers

The three finalists of the sixth season showed their collections at New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park on February 20, 2009, and with the final three voted upon ...they can now be revealed!

They are Carol, Althea and Irina.
