Tony has two families. One he would wack anyone for, and one that could wack HIM - if he isn't careful.

The official head of the family is Corrado "Uncle Junior" Soprano (Dominic Chianese) but since he is under house arrest, Tony (James Gandolfini) heads things up.

Tony's top guys are Silvio Dante (Steven Van Zandt) and Paulie "Walnuts" Gaultieri (Tony Sirico.)

His family at home is his wife Carmela (Edie Falco) and their two children Meadow (Jamie-Lynn Sigler) and Anthony Jr. (Robert Iler.)

A 21st century Don, Tony also has a psychiatrist, Dr. Jennifer Melfi (Lorraine Bracco,) who tries to help him sort through the angst that his lifestyle inevitably brings. Tony sorts things out in other ways, at his home away from home - The Bada Bing, your friendly neighborhood strip club. As with any mob story, someone is always snitching and the Feds are always listening.

Created by David Chase, The Sopranos has since entered into the mainstream of pop culture with its accurate portrayal of a real Mafia family living by the code of "honor, loyalty and respect."

First aired in 1999, the show may even go down into pop culture history as the only one to receive an Emmy for Best Drama after it already went off the air (following a much-heralded final episode in June 2007)

And talk about street cred! They've even got a pinball machine named after them.
