in 2003, Sugarland is the hot country music duo comprised of Jennifer
Nettles (lead vocals) and Kristian Bush (background vocals, mandolin,
forming the group, singer Nettles led the Jennifer Nettles Band
while backup singer Kristian Bush was a part the Billy Pilgrim
duo. (Once part of the original Sugarland trio, folksinger/songwriter
Hall left the group in 2006 to pursue a solo career.)
Taking the country music scene by storm, Sugarland has consistently
topped the charts since signing with Mercury Nashville Records
in 2004. Their debut album, Twice the Speed of Life, quickly went
double platinum spinning off such popular hits as "Baby
Girl", "Something More" and "Down in Mississippi
(Up to No Good)".
Kristen Hall's departure in 2006, Nettles and Bush later released
their second double platinum album "Enjoy the Ride"
resulting in their first No. 1 hits, "Settlin" and "Want
Ten hit from the album, "Stay", was later awarded both
Single Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the 2008 ACM
Sugarland's next hit, "All I Want to Do", is
from their third album "Love on the Inside" released
in July of the same year.
Their fourth album, "The Incredible Machine" was released in 2010 featuring their mega-hit "Stuck Like Glue" as the album became the 5th bestselling country album of 2010.
