Taylor SwiftTaylor Swift is the oldest child of Scott and Andrea Swift. She was born on December 13, 1989 in Reading, PA. Her earliest years were spent in the small town of Wyomissing, PA with her parents and younq2www33`ger brother Austin.

At 14, Taylor moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue her dream of a career in country music.

Once she reached Nashville she got busy putting her plans for the future to work. MySpace was the place to get seen online ...and Taylor Swift was there. Posting demos of her songs and getting feedback from her fans, she was one of the most fan-aware artists around (and to this day continues to thank them for her career in music.)

And, if Swift had her sights set on making records, she was about to break a few records in the process.

She was soon signed with Big Machine Records to became the youngest songwriter ever hired by the publishing house. On her way to becoming a country music star, she released her self-titled album in 2006, spinning off the hit single "Our Song" which made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Hot Country Songs chart.

Her first Best New Artist nomination at the Grammy Awards came the following year.

Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008 to become the best-selling album in the United States. The album won four Grammy Awards and made Swift the youngest ever Album of the Year winner. Swift's third and fourth albums, Speak Now (2010) and Red (2012), both sold more than one million copies within the first week of their U.S release. Meanwhile, the rest of the world began to sit up and take notice. Red's mega-hit singles "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "I Knew You Were Trouble" were worldwide hits.

Swift's crossover to pop came with her fifth album, 1989, released in 2014. It made Swift the first and only music artist to have three albums sell more than one million copies in the opening release week. The singles "Shake It Off", "Blank Space", and "Bad Blood" have all reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Her words and voice are a perfect duo. Her fans want to hear what she has to say and they want her to sing it. The honesty she brings to every song is a big part of what makes Taylor Swift so popular.

Judging from her worldwide sold-out concerts, hot record sales and ongoing list of awards, Taylor Swift's star will continue to shine has as long as she keeps writing her songs and singing from the heart.
