Born Teri Lynn Hatcher on December 8, 1964 in Sunnyvale, California, she would follow in the footsteps of her physicist father by attending community college to study math and engineering. At the same time, the future actress was also attending the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.

Fate soon took a hand when Hatcher accompanied a friend to an acting job for moral support, and ended up winning a bit part for herself, launching her acting career. Movie parts followed in small roles in such feature films as Tango & Cash opposite Sylvester Stallone, Soap Dish with Whoopi Goldberg, and Straight Talk with Dolly Parton.

Her breakthrough role came in 1993 playing in the TV hit, "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, making her a familiar face throughout America as the sexy actress who played a hip, modern-day Lois Lane. After appearing in a Superman cape - and scant little else - Hatcher's provocative photo became one of the most requested on the Net throughout the 90's, and the actress herself became one of history's first Web celebs.

Since then, Hatcher has appeared in starring roles alongside Pierce Brosnan as a Bond chick in Tomorrow Never Dies, and more famously in a much-talked about cat fight with Charlize Theron in 2 Days In The Valley.

Today, she continues to gain fans and fascinate viewers (alongside two other famous Web celebs, co-stars Nicollette Sheridan and Eva Longoria) with a starring role in the ABC hit, Desperate Housewives for which she has recently won a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
