Lauren Conrad - not to be out done by teen queen rival Kristen Cavallari (who now hosts UPN's new Get This Party Started reality series) has landed her own Laguna Beach spin off on MTV.

Zap2it states, "The 19-year-old Conrad attends the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in downtown Los Angeles. The Hills will follow her as she attends class, moves in with her friend and new roomie Heidi, and works as an intern at Teen Vogue."

Lauren is spreading her wings and is moving in with her friend Heidi from Laguna Beach, and together they will discover that "Life in the city is no day at the beach."

The show is sure to be a hit with people of all ages. Lauren will be surrounded by people who think that going out every night is a full time job, friendship is a matter of convenience, dating is a contact sport and work is someplace you go after the bars close. Lauren begins to grow up as this sheltered, kind soul tries to juggle all aspects of life in the big city - not to mention she is doing all this in front of the MTV cameras.
