Pumpkin Bread

 

Number of Servings: 2 small loaves
Prep Time: 1 hr. 15 min Skill Level: Easy

Ingredients

2 2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup softened butter
4 eggs
1 16. oz can solid pack pumpkin
1 cup water
3 1/2 cup flour
2 tsps baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1 cup raisins
1 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. In large bowl, mix sugar and butter.
3. Add eggs, pumpkin and water and mix well.
4. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, raisins and walnuts.
5. In dry ingredients make a well in middle and pour in egg and pumpkin mixture. Mix well.
6. Turn out into greased loaf pans.
7. Bake for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
8. Let cool slightly before removing from pans.
